El Rocio

The Roci­o, a small Andalusia village, with White House and sand streets, which every year turns into Pentecost (May /June) to the center of thousand of pilgrims.
This tradition is as far as into the XVIII - century, to retrace. The virgin's Andalusia Baroque church of El Roci­o, in which the statue simply is this virgin, forms the center of the place.

From the fashionable promenade of El Roci­o, one can observe very well the waterfowls when hunting fishing's and the wild horses with the potion. One enjoys the rest of the year from Donana the beaches of Matalascanas and this close to situated nature reserve.

Islantilla

As well as being situated in a beautiful area with vast stretches of fine beaches and dunes, Islantilla is well situated for day trips to Portugal, Seville, and the world-famous Donana natural park as well as the Monastery of La Rabida, the Grotto of Wonders and the Hermitage of the Virgen del Rocio.

This heavenly coast of the south is surrounded by dozen of beautiful beaches where the sun always shines. Totally unspoilt by mass tourism and over development. A place which was designed to provide an escape for those searching for sun and active tourism. A big temptation for those who are keen on virgin beaches and exotic environment as well as sport and culture activities. All this and more, even the most demanding traveller will be satisfied with the quality and the beauty of the beaches.From the ones next to the port "Puerto del Terron" to the central beach of ISLA CRISTINA, you can choose your particular oasis, walking along a sandy beach of several kilometres with changing names like LA ANTILLA, LA CASITA AZUL, LA REDONDELA or PUNTA DEL CAIMAN among others.

From the ocean walk of ISLANTILLA, walking along landscaped paths and dunes you get to a fantastic beach. Between huge palm trees and a balustrade you approach the Atlantic Ocean. Behind you, you can see a hillside with beautiful apartments and houses.

 

Isla Canela

Isla Canela occupies an area of 1,760 hectares in the mouth of the Guadiana River, part of the municipality of Ayamonte, and enjoys 7 kilometres of fine sandy beaches. This island area is threaded through with navigable waterways, golf courses, recreational marina, residential areas of tasteful apartments and villas, commercial areas (shops, bars and restaurants) and top quality hotels.

Leisure and Recreation

The commercial centres on Isla Canela features many different establishments from family friendly restaurants offering gastronomical treats to supermarkets, car hire and clothes shops. On the beach you will find typically Spanish beach bars, water-sports facilities and a view of fishing boats bobbing on the horizon catching your evening meal.

To all this can be added the town of Ayamonte, located 5 kilometres away. With its myriad bars and restaurants, quaint little shops and bustling daily market Ayamonte will fill your senses with Andalucian charm.

Comunications

Isla Canela enjoys modern and fast routes of communication to the peninsula and Europe through the airports of Faro, in Portugal (50 km) and Seville (150 km). The recent inauguration of the freeway A 49 that unites Ayamonte with Sevila, makes Isla Canela only one hour and quarter away from Seville. Freeway IP-1 links with the Portuguese Algarve. All this converts Isla Canela in a high-priority destination not only for the Spanish market but for the European.

Isla Canela is a natural Island that communicates with Ayamonte through a bridge.
